Impatient Jackass in Honda Insight Almost Collides on On-Ramp

Idiocy Meter

Asshole Meter

Here’s another asstwat alert. This douche in a shizzy Honda Insight (I never got that wannabe-futuristic half-covered wheel look) was impatiently tailgating us on Lankershim and made a pointless passing maneuver right before we all got onto the 134 E. Fwy on-ramp. He then zoomed up the on-ramp, though he wasn’t able to go fast enough to pass another car. So what did this moron do? He almost rear-ended that other car while both vehicles were still on the on-ramp. He then rode the other guys ass for good measure, though your guess is as good as mine as to what point he was trying to make. My wife snapped this as he sped away coasting across several lanes (without signaling, of course).

I know that ramp very well, it goes behind that McD’s there. About 10 years ago, I was in my KW pulling a 53′ trailer (70′ long total) and as you know when driving a big truck, you have to make wide turns to maneuver through small streets. Someone was impatient and tried to pass me on the right as I was making a wide turn and not even as I cleared that turn, the same ass tried again to pass me on the right again but he ran out of road, wedged himself between my right front wheel and the guard rail, I didn’t see him but it almost ripped the steering wheel from my hand, my lug nuts ripping open his BMW like a sardine can. Nearly a year later, he then had the nerve to try to sue me after the CHP report put him at fault and a ticket was issued to him and his ins co told him to pound sand. Needless to say, I won. Found out it was one of Glendale’s fine residents and the CHP told me the car had a salvage title already, scam anyone??
SC, that’s insane, but not unheard of. Aggressive drivers like that tend not to be the brightest, so they have no idea why big vehicles have to make wide turns the way they do. Hopefully you didn’t lose too much time/money in the process of defending yourself.
Had a similar situation but on the Cahuenga on ramp from the car point of view. I did what any safe citizen would do, stop and let the trucker make its wide right turn.
