Preoccupied with Makeup on the Freeway in the Rain

This lady in her BMW 530i is clearly signaling, so why am I taking a photo of her? No, she wasn’t speeding, lane-weaving, or tailgating during last Friday’s rain on the 101 Fwy. Rather, she was actually putting on makeup and using her rearview mirror as her vanity mirror. We see people do this all the time, but usually only when they’re stopped in traffic. However, here we are in stop and go post rush hour traffic in cloudy, rainy conditions, and this lady still thinks it’s a good idea to put on her blush and mascara while driving. She was so into her makeup that she forgot to turn off her signal after she completed her lane change. Let’s not forget the fact that she, and the majority of the other drivers in this photo, do not have their low beam headlights turned on as required by law. I wonder where that eyeliner will end up going if she ever gets rear-ended or rear-ends another driver because she couldn’t spend a few extra minutes at home getting ready before going to work.
