Here’s another L.A native in an Isuzu Trooper who needs a serious wake-up call.  Angelenos love to push the envelope when it comes to getting into a lane they need to be in to get where they’re going, whether it be a turn lane, an exit only lane, a through lane, etc.  The #1 reason why drivers do this is to leapfrog over as many drivers as possible.  This driver was no different and chose at the very last second to to move from the #1 lane on the 101 Fwy South to the #2 lane of 2 lanes (which were moving more slowly) that take you to the 134 Fwy East; this person did this well after the two freeways have diverged and over solid white lane markings.  Furthermore, this person nearly caused a collision by pulling this stunt directly in front of an irate asshole in a white pickup truck who actually just did the same exact thing, though a few feet sooner.  Apparently, the driver of the pickup felt that only he was entitled to drive like a selfish prick and blatantly accelerated in an attempt to prevent this Isuzu from cutting in front of him.  Well, at least the driver of the Isuzu was signaling.  In fact, after a couple of miles on the 134, the driver still had his/her left turn blinkers on.  So perhaps we just have an oblivious driver who’s developed bad L.A. habits after living here for so long.  Hopefully, the rest of you can be more resilient when it comes to adopting poor driving behavior.
