This photo looks pretty harmless, right? Well, what you don’t see is a car that’s just passed out of frame going south on Whitsett (we were heading north) that nearly hit the black sedan you see in the photo. The driver of this new Honda–I think–with no license plates decided to gun it out of the parking lot of the driving range on the west side of Whitsett, between Ventura and Moorpark in Valley Village, without looking for oncoming traffic. After a day of witnessing people blowing through stop signs and playing “merging roulette” with other drivers, this wasn’t surprising at all. The jackass wanted to make a left and stopped dead in his tracks, blocking the entire #2 and part of the #1 southbound lanes. The other driver had to change lanes to avoid T-boning this assnut, and the white sedan in the photo had to partially cross over the double yellow centerline to also avoid a collision. What’s with people in this town merging or turning into traffic without looking? You can’t even chalk it up to them caring about no one else but themselves, since they’re actively putting themselves in harm’s way. Stupid idiots….

These people out here have no clue where their break pedal is in their car. It was once said “the highway was full of broken heroes on a last chance power drive”.
They figure that if you hit them, even though it is not your fault, they will sue you anyway because they are more important then you.
Off Topic – I noticed that NYer’s did not make right turns on red lights. Is it illegal to do so out there?
I know that golf/tennis complex very well. And it had to be a tennis player who blindly bolted out of the lot. Us golfers leave the bad drives on the course.
It’s illegal to make a right turn on red in the borough of NYC (although I think it’s OK in Staten Island…I’m not sure).
