Plain and simple. Basic traffic laws and driving etiquette clearly do not apply in a town where the people seem to operate in their own little bubble, completely unaware or dismissive of others on the road. Call it what you will: self-entitlement, negligence, malaise, ignorance. My goal? To have mandatory driving tests randomly issued where drivers are eligible for selection after 6 years. Well, I saw this white Honda driving angrily because traffic on the 91 started backing up and I just knew they were going to cut through the plastic pylons that separate the Toll Lanes from the regular lanes of the freeway. And indeed they did, somewhat cutting me off. I had already slowed a little because I sensed they, in all their anger, were going to bust through the pylons. I don't even know if they had a Transponder, but I sense they didn't and were going to jump out of the toll lane before the toll charge area came up. I was driving in a Toll Lane, and you know how you just know someone’s going to cut over? I told him it's a pet peeve of mine. His answer? "Why?
