New York Transplant Road Raging After Yankees Lose

Idiocy Meter

Asshole Meter

Here’s another transplant driving with his head up his ass, though he’s not from Wisconsin. Rather, he was sporting plates from New York, a state better known for their aggressive drivers. We had a friend visiting from out of town and took him to Disneyland. On our way back on the 5 Fwy North, we saw this road raging New Yorker bumper-humping the car in front of him, despite the fact that the other driver was going at a steady 70 mph, along with the rest of traffic and at a safe distance behind the next car ahead. Here’s the biggest difference I’ve seen between aggressive drivers in L.A. and those from my hometown of NY (though I dont’ know if this guy was from the NYC metro area): if you’re driving too slowly in front of an impatient L.A. driver, chances are he’ll tailgate you hard for a bit, but then he’ll change lanes, speed up, and then cut you off without signaling to prove a point. An impatient NYC driver will just ride your ass until you get out of his way, despite the fact that he could opt to change lanes and weave between other cars to achieve his objective sooner. Both expressions of road rage are equally idiotic and pointless. Eventually (though I don’t know why it took so long), this other driver moved over to his right to allow this guy (who was probably upset that the Yankees lost to the Angels tonight despite the Angels having two key starters on the DL) to speed past and tailgate the next person in line.
