Pouring Rain at Night with No Headlights

Idiocy Meter

Asshole Meter

We were driving back from dinner at the Father’s Office in Culver City (fantastic burgers, by the way) to the Valley, and for some reason we came across an unusually large number of cars without any headlights on. This was unusual, even by L.A. standards. Nevertheless, it reminded me of a submission I got during our most recent rainy days. Our submitter was traveling through one of the canyons (Beverly Glen) and came across a sedan (I circled it) that was driving around at night in pouring rain without any headlights on. I mean, you might be able to fool yourself and believe that you can see just fine in the dark, but how dense can you be not to realize how difficult it is for people to see you in pouring rain at night? Oh wait, that would require you to put yourself in other people’s shoes, wouldn’t it? Alas, this isn’t something we’re very good at in this town.

Driving over a canyon in pouring rain surrounded by cars without their headlights on and deciding the best thing to do is… whip out a camera so you can prove how stupid the *other* drivers are.
Given that the two cars ahead of the person who submitted this photo are stopped, I’m guessing the submitter was also stopped while taking this photo.
