Pointless Passing and Weaving Doesn’t Affect Aggression

Idiocy Meter

Asshole Meter

The sad truth about aggressive drivers like this assnut in his dark green Toyota Tacoma is that they will never learn from their mistakes. They will always have an excuse to justify their behavior in any circumstance. Their conceit will never permit them to look at themselves objectively, and I can only imagine how these character traits translate in other areas of their lives. Rather than patiently driving south on Hollywood Way in light, free-flowing traffic, this dick was tailgating and weaving in and out of cars (without signaling, of course). Not only was he making no headway whatsoever (he kept changing into the “slower” lane), but he was pulling the asinine “L.A. pole position” maneuver. You know what I mean–when drivers move to the rightmost curb lane near an intersection where there’s often enough room for cars to either park or move forward to make a right turn on a red light; but instead of making a right on red or parking, these tools start creeping at the red light and slam on the accelerator to cut back in front before hitting a parked car at the next block. Not only does this qualify as illegal passing, but it is never discouraged by the cops. Never. Why? I have no idea, but I see this stunt pulled in front of traffic cops all the time with no consequence. I also have never heard of anyone in L.A. getting a ticket for pulling this maneuver. It’s almost as if this county thinks it’s OK for aggressive jackasses to pretend to be drag racers at every red light. And guess what inevitably happens when illegal behavior goes on unchecked? People start ignoring lane designations, like using the right turn only lane as a passing lane. How long will we allow these assholes to push the envelope?
