It’s Dark, It’s Raining – Where Are Your Headlights?

It amazes me that we’re closing in on the 3-year anniversary of the “headlights on while raining” law in California, and yet 2 out of every 3 cars on the road today in L.A. were driving around with headlights off and windshield wipers running.   Seriously people, even if it weren’t a law, wouldn’t you want your car to be more visible to other drivers in cloudy, rainy weather?  To make matters worse, cops were doing the same thing….I saw at least 2 police cruisers driving around with their windshield wipers running and their headlights off.  The kicker was when I was at LAX this evening picking up some friends at the airport, and a police car was driving around at 8:30 at night in the rain without headlights on.  Therefore, I thought it was only fitting to post this submission that was short, sweet, and to the point:

“I took this photo going south on Highland at around 8 p.m.  Just because it was light out when you got in the car doesn’t mean you won’t need to turn your headlights on before you get home, jackass.”

And learn the laws of where you’re driving:  People, turn your headlights on when it rains in California.  And you officers might want to think about setting a better example, too.
