So the fact that this guy is actually navigating our streets offends me. His mere existence as an L.A. commuter insults me. It’s bad enough that so many of us succumb to road rage during rush hour, but what about at noon when traffic is light? What justification do you possibly have to drive like royal asshole? As you can clearly see, traffic was very light on 6th St. near Fairfax when I took this photo. But for some reason, this grouchy, impatient driver in his Lexus was tailgating me so closely that I could see the frown lines on his face while he was holding his head like he was suffering migraines. He was swaying in his lane and even crossed the double yellow centerline a few times to see why traffic was moving so “slowly”, and twice he almost ran into parked cars along the curb while trying to pass. I’m sorry, but going 30 in a 25 mph residential district is fast enough for most people along this stretch of 6th St. Eventually, this guy managed to cut in front of me. But get this: a block later as he was trying to pass another vehicle, he nearly hit a bicyclist traveling in the #2 lane. One, you don’t have to be a genius to really take in the road conditions in front of you–this cyclist was in clear view for everyone to see. Two, what is the friggen rush, to the point where you’re willing to endanger the lives of others? The best part about all of this is that when this piece of sh*t manages to see no obstacles ahead of him, he didn’t speed away like so many other dicks in L.A. He just kept going at his pace–maybe 5 mph faster than everyone else–as if being “the first in line” was of the utmost importance to him. The end result? He just ended up sitting at a red light at San Vicente, waiting to make his left turn, while all the cars he passed glided by him in the right turn only lane. This fu*kwad needs to be removed from the road–permanently.
